Therapy fees and rebates
Therapy can be challenging before it’s rewarding, it requires an investment of time, effort, money, and trust. It’s important to find a therapist who you feel comfortable with and are able to communicate openly with. The more you can share with your therapist the better your therapist is placed to help you.
Fees
A scheduled appointment means that a 50-minute session is reserved for you. I charge a fee of $210 per 50 minute session.
Medicare rebates
If you're experiencing mental health concerns, you may be eligible for support through a Medicare Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP), which can be arranged by your GP. This plan covers a wide range of psychological conditions and symptoms. With a valid MHCP referral, you can claim a Medicare rebate for up to 10 sessions per calendar year (January–December).
Medicare rebate per session: $98.65
Out-of-pocket cost per session: $111.35
If you're unsure how to get started, speak with your GP or contact us — we're happy to guide you through the process.
Self referral
You do not need a referral to engage in therapy. You can attend as a private self-referring patient. If you would prefer not to visit your General Practitioner you can simply make an appointment.
Private Health
If you have private health insurance you may be eligible to claim partial costs of the consultation fee. Please seek advice from your private health insurer.
